Aston Abode is a Singapore-based independent streetwear fashion house founded in 2023 as a humble side hustle.

We didn’t start as a fashion brand.

It started with a few racks of secondhand clothes, flipped out of instinct more than intention. We learned taste before we learned design. We learned what people reached for, what they ignored, and what actually lasted.

Three years in — from reselling to producing — one thought kept coming back to us:

Everything started to look the same.

Brands referencing the same Western silhouettes. The same moodboards. The same “elevated basics” — just reproduced at scale, stripped of context, and sold like culture was a template.

We didn’t want to add to that noise.

So we tried to look elsewhere.

We explored silhouettes from Japan, printing techniques from China, and worked with partners across Asia. We thought we could distill it into something cohesive — something we could call “Asian-inspired.”

We were wrong.

What we found instead was this:

Culture isn’t a theme.

It’s too layered, too specific, too lived-in to be flattened into a single aesthetic.

And that changed how we approached everything.

Now, we are still learning and exploring the different realms of fashion and streetwear, and we hope to have you part of this journey.
