About Us

Culture should not have to be watered down to be wearable.

Aston Abode is a Singapore-based independent streetwear house founded in 2023. What started as a bedroom side hustle flipping thrifted vintage has grown into a community-driven label built around culture, craft, and the belief that clothes should mean something.

01

How it started

Aston Abode began in 2023 as Kai's bedroom side hustle, flipping thrifted vintage on weekends with no grand plan beyond making good finds move. The deeper we got into clothes, the harder it became to ignore the sameness around us: the same references, the same blanks, the same Western mood boards recycled until they meant nothing.

That frustration became the point. What if clothes could carry more than a trend? What if a local brand could build from here, for here, without watering everything down first?

02

What we stand for

Culture should not have to be diluted to be wearable. Aston Abode is our resistance to cultural gentrification: the flattening of local and regional references until they become safe, mass-market aesthetics with the meaning stripped out.

We make clothes that pay homage to underexplored cultures with care, research, and intention. Not costumes. Not themed clothing. Garments with stories, built for people who care about what they wear and why they wear it.

03

Craft and process

Every piece is designed in-house in Singapore, sourced across Asia, and slow-made with production partners in Indonesia. We obsess over fabric, silhouette, texture, and the small details that make a garment feel like it has a reason to exist.

Our world sits somewhere between refined basics and entry streetwear: clean silhouettes, raw fabrics, intentional construction, and the occasional intrusive thought stitched into the room.

04

Welcome home

Aston can be anyone. Abode is the shared space. The brand has always been community first, from pop-ups and fit checks to the Telegram inner circle that feels less like a broadcast channel and more like the living room.

Kai leads the brand as founder, Jung keeps the machine moving as COO, and Le Xuan shapes the product as designer. Around them is a growing team turning a thrift pile into a proper fashion house, one drop at a time.

05

Looking ahead

We are still young, still self-aware, and still very allergic to copy-paste culture. The goal is simple: raise the bar for streetwear in Southeast Asia, taste-wise, quality-wise, and story-wise.

More drops. More reach. More reasons to care about what you wear. We are not just building clothes that last. We are building a brand that does too.
